In June 2018, LAMININ carried out a field study in the provinces of Malanje, Huambo and Bié, on the main constraints of family farming, focusing on the functioning of the logistics system. The study is divided into 4 aspects, namely: i. productivity, ii. management model, iii. transportation and iv. marketing . To this end, producers and representatives of cooperatives from the 3 provinces were consulted, making up a total sample of 5,345 producers distributed between the provinces of Malanje, Huambo and Bié with an expressive majority of 92% female in the province of Malanje. The study was developed in partnership with the MOSAPII project and had the direct and indirect participation of support bodies for family farming.
